Birdland has little birdhouses scattered everywhere in the property . There’s also a birdhouse Christmas tree and a nest-like lounge area made of twigs. The owners were very mindful when they were building each elements of the resort like make sure no materials will be wasted and everything will be repurposed having minimal damages to the resort’s natural surrounding.
This haven is a unique eco resort featuring two natural salt water swimmng pools, 6 air conditioned rooms, 6 over the water huts, and 6 three, four, and a five story beach front huts.
The location where Birdland is known to be in a “microclimate zone“– as defined as;
any climatic condition in a relatively small area, within a few metres or less above and below the Earth’s surface and within canopies of vegetation. … The strongest gradients of temperature and humidity occur just above and below the terrestrial surface.
the average temperature is at 24-28 Celsius all year around. Hence, there’s no need for any air-conditioning in all rooms, making the resort’s energy consumption more sustainable.
The Bolifugao Hut
The buildings and kubos in Birdland are perfectly placed on a cliff, giving you the best views of the resort and sea. The owners made sure not to damage the coral rocks when constructing these kubos, that’s why some pathways you will walk in are rugged in a nice way.
A Bolifugao Hut is a 3-story hut it has a comfort room with one-way glass window for a solid view of the beach front, a lounge area on the second floor where you could spend most of our time doing socials, eating, and perhaps some reading. The third level serves as a cozy sleeping area.
All huts were built right on the beach overlooking the waters. No one could pass up the opportunity to wake up to the sound of crashing waves and to catch that early sunrise.
